I jumped on Taxact and did mine in about 15 minutes. I'm getting $1,500 back. Will the fees I pay a professional to do my taxes outweigh any extra money I might have missed?

Probably not - at very least, there's no way to tell what you could have missed just from knowing your refund amount.

Are you married? Filing children? Have a home mortgage and pay real estate taxes? Make charitable donations? That's just some of the general questions to ask.
