Thread: Running internet to the Dreamcast

  1. Running internet to the Dreamcast

Not that I can do much with an online Dreamcast but is it possible to run a phone line from the DC modem to my PC and bridge the connection?

I use to run an ethernet cable from my laptop to my 360 to gain a net connection but don't know if it will work in the same scenario with the DC.

  2. You got a need to play Chu Chu Rocket?

  3. I dug out the DC and was playing around with it. Would like to download some save files.

  4. There used to be USB-to-VMU devices for it (from MadCatz or whoever) once upon a time. IIRC Gamefaqs used to host save files.

I don't think you can really download saves straight to the system though, am I wrong about this?

  5. Yeah, when I had the import version of Marvel vs. Capcom 2, I had to download the save file to access all the characters. Using the DC web browser allowed you to do so.

  6. Hm. Hm hm hm. Seems like downloading files to the VMU is going to be less of a pain in the ass, but it's gonna cost money. Good luck!

    Maybe a DC Network Modem?

  7. I remember doing it back in the day.

Still have those bonus Samba de Amigo songs!

You need to find a free dial-up ISP. That's how we all did it back then.

  8. Those still exist? I guess old people are still there, they must...
