    Question King of Fighters XIII

    According to Magic Box, KOF XIII may be coming this April as a Type X2 game. This isn't confirmed. Could SNKP after all be returning to a yearly KOF schedule?

    Hopefully SNKP pushes the roster to at least 27 characters and restores some of the missing moves. KOF XIII needs a better 1P mode - it should ditch the time attack and go with a 7-8 stage score attack story mode complete with a boss. The boss should be slightly more powerful than a regular character, with better AI instead of cheapness (No more lethal flashing screen supers or spamming the screen with fireballs to the point where it looks like bullet hell, please).

    Discuss.

    PlayStation Move does what Kinect Kinnot.

    What's there to discuss? I don't really buy the rumors. I have zero confidence that they had the time or budget to release anything interesting in April. Maybe they can announce something in April, but to be done? KOF XII wasn't even a finished game. They should just stick to rereleasing 98 and 02. They're good at that.

    I dunno, getting this into arcades fast (like April) might not be the worst idea when KoF XII bombed as hard as it did.

    Realistically, we could see first location tests in April, right?

    Can't wait to see arcade KOFXII go down to $10 a pop.

    Unsure if this is true, SNKP lost a ton on XII and didn't seem like they would venture out into the arcade with KOF anymore (let's not count Sky Stage)

    I was okay with the smaller KOF12 roster in concept. After playing its obvious that the execution ruins every other aspect. The Arcade mode is a joke, the online is unplayable, and there really isn't much incentive to keep going. Grabbing a few friends (and bigger KOF fans) still proved to be uninspiring and dull.

    So I'm hoping that 13 fixes all that, though I'm not willing to sell myself on the idea before playing it (like what happened with 12).

    My confidence is not zero, but actually about 0.0235%. For it to be true, SNK would need to have been hauling ass in the meantime. At least Elisabeth's sprite is done, but what else is going on?

    KOF XIII needs to feel more like a real step forward, rather than a $60 demo episode. At least if KOF XIII closes out the Three Treasures story, it's a good place to drop the series if this installment tanks.

    I almost feel that they should've gone 2.5D with the KOF series (ala SFIV).
