Thread: Recommend me some restaurants in Vegas

  1. Recommend me some restaurants in Vegas

I know there are several threads about vegas trips out there, but most of them talk about hotels and clubs to hang out at, things to do etc. I know a number of you have been to Vegas numerous times so I'm interested in what your take is as far as good restaurants.

Looking for places in the $40-50 a person range, preferrably places that don't require me to change out of my t-shirt & jeans and that are either on or near the strip. Mostly interested in places that serve prime steaks and someplace where I can get some good sushi

    Help me out guys. Thanks

  2. This place is delicious.
It's off the strip about a half mile, but it's only $25 per person before any drinks. Add in cab fare and you're looking at $30-$35 per person max. It's pretty good sushi too.

  3. Great little 24 hour place in the Venetian:

  4. In-n-out. I know it doesn't fit the criteria, but if you're ever in the mood for baller burgers, check it out.

  5. Bartolotta Restorante di Mare

I've not personally eaten there, but I've eaten at all of Paul Bartolotta's restaurants in Milwaukee and had the pleasure of meeting him in person (I am casual acquaintances with a couple of his chefs, he was really funny).

    Delmonico Steakhouse

Not the most interesting restaurant in Vegas, but there is something classic about eating a steakhouse in that town. I'm also biased because my former boss was the chef de cuisine there.

For sushi I recommend Hyakumi in Caesars - it's more affordable than their other place there (some celebrity gig) and the atmosphere is excellent.

Mon Ami Gambi at Paris is excellent, sit outside and you get an amazing view of the fountains.

Mesa Grill at Caesars, off the sports book, is predictably excellent (Bobby Flay), and pretty casual.

The 24 hour place at Bellagio is really good.

As for steak houses, I'm not a big steak eater (and neither is the SO) but every casino has at least one.

I would prefer to dress up for the occasion and go to Bouchon, but I have a bit of a man crush on Thomas Keller.

  8. I had an amazing seafood del flavio from the italian place inside NY-NY this year....not super upscale or anything.
