Thread: Transfering shit from my Xbox to my PC

  1. Transfering shit from my Xbox to my PC

Quick question: I got a voice message last night from NGE and Samba's kid that made me incredibly happy and I want to save it forever. Is there any way to transfer that voice message from my Xbox to my PC? It's common knowledge around these parts that I don't know shit about this stuff, so I would be very appreciative of anyone who could help out. I'm willing to pay in penis points, if that sweetens the deal any.

  2. You can't transfer a voice message, not possible.

You'll have to get creative in taking a vid of the message.

  3. You could get an RCA (female) to 3.5mm Stereo (male) adapter, run the audio out from your 360 to the 'Line In' on your PC, set the active recording device on your computer to 'Stereo Mix', open ye olde sndrec32.exe (or equivalent), hit record on the computer, hit play on the 360, hit stop on the computer when appropriate, and then save the file.

In all, if you haven't done it before, you're probably looking at a trip to Radio Shack, four one-dollar bills, and about an hour of staring at your Windows audio property panel going "uhh...."

So do you want it bad enough?

  4. the obvious solution here is to hold a tape recorder to your tv speakers

    (do what koda suggests)

  5. Get a phone that can take voice memo's and then sync that bitch up.

  6. I bought this cable on accident that transfers files from the 360 Hard Drive to your PC (I thought I was buying a HD Transfer cable and it's not worth it to send back). I'm not sure if voice messages are actually downloaded to the HD (or just into memory), or if the cable only transfers save files, but I could send it your way if it works.

  7. Does Games for Windows Live support voice messages? If it does, maybe you can just download the client, login your gamertag, play the voice message from there, and record.
