Kinda dumb to judge on a shitty youtube version.
There's clearly some shaders for some finer details that are being brutally obfuscated by a low-quality trailer. You can briefly make out some really nice hatching effects going on with Wolverine and Chris in their close-ups, that appear to be orders of magnitude better than SFIV's weird shader style that reads more like skin deformities.

Some characters have been announced. Also, this may play out like TvC indeed.
It's also still 3v3. They are saying new additions to the fighting system will be implemented but I'm starting to think that means calling out two assists at the same time.
Wtf at Super Skrull and Mephisto.
I think they may also keep that comic book shit that's in SF4.

Oh thank God! For a moment there I thought the fighters would look like glass-eyed puppets with animation constraints that a cartoon should never have exasperated by 30 second zoomed-in unskippable cut scenes to punctuate every super move just because the camera can rotate.
That was a close one.

Click for full size I stand corrected on the Dante situation. The silhouette in the trailer was debatable, but this one, I can't think who else it could be.
This looks much closer modeling-wise to TvC than SFIV, from watching the trailer. Shame, don't really care for the TvC aesthetic.
I hope the backgrounds aren't that lifeless!
(Super Skrull would be pretty cool, actually...)
