I used an Ikea one and it didn't fit before. It made me sad.
Octo gates are pretty neat! I had one in the stick I sold to Timber, might get one again. Only problem is they don't reflect an arcade setup 100%, but who gives a shit.
Bike tool, then. It's a set of allen wrenches and screwdrivers, everybody with a bicycle should have one, so you probably know somebody. The bolts that keep the screws in tend to drop out when you're unscrewing the top panel, you might have to pop the back off to reinstall these. Otherwise yeah, no reason.
I've got 3 seimitsu joysticks (not sure of the model numbers offhand) and a sanwa sitting in a box for a project. I was gonna use the Seimitsu on the first since I like a bit more resistance. I have a little problem with hitting diagonals when I'm meaning to hit back. I was thinking an octo might help with that.
Boo, Hiss.
If you want to use an octogate with a Seimitsu, you have to get an LS-56. They don't make octogates for the standard Seimitsu sticks (which are LS-32).
R.I.P. Paragon Studios
I use the stock stick but need a recommendation for the gate. I use a fully circle gate. It's okay but I can't do Magneto's BnB with it. I also miss Wesker's diagonal attack from time to time.
Octo gate or get fucked, imo. It's called the gt-y, I think
Also, put a new spring on your stick if you want more resistance.
