Jill's okay. I picked both up for PS3/Vita because I can't stand an incomplete character select even if it's basically extortion for OCD nerds at this point. I already have them for 360 from that bullshit original MvC3 LE.
Fuck paying for costumes, though.

Depends what you are playing for. As characters they are, ok...
For serious competition Shuma has an assist that does things not matched by any other assist. He's just not cheap enough to play at high level.

I can see the being tournament banned if you can't access them anymore, though. Or were they by nature ad "DLC"?

They're not banned but there's only really one notable player that uses Shuma.
But now that you can't access them and can't really guarantee the tournament consoles will have them who knows what will happen.
