Apparently it was originally announced ten years ago, which makes that influence more likely than the Souls one that also came to mind when I watched it.

Hoping for more of an Onimusha influence than a Souls influence. I just don't understand the appeal of the Souls series.

The movement being far more restrictive than Souls makes it seem vaguely God Hand.

Man that looks so Onimusha (just to echo everyone else). That power puppy was awesome.
This reminded me to download the alpha, but it's also interesting that the game lets you choose 1080p, 30fps or 720p, 60fps. I'm not a big "or" guy, but I suppose a choice of compromises is better than a single forced one.
It made me want a new Ninja Gaiden.
In that it's good and whet your appetite or in that it's bad, and you'd rather play Ninja Gaiden?
