Thread: Ubi Cutting Out Game Manuals

  1. yes

DS and Wii games are targeted to people that don't play a ton of games and would probably read them

No one buys PSP games so there's no paper to waste

  2. It'd be hard to read a manual on the DS screen.

  3. DS and Wii games are targeted to people that don't play a ton of games and would probably read them

I think you MEANT to say SOME Wii and DS games are targeted to people that don't play a ton of games..

There are a lot of DS games out there I don't think a "casual" gamer would want to play (tons of detailed Japanese rpgs for example)

I would think an avid game player would WANT to read the manual and the "casual" gamer would not bother ..

I don't know about you, but I love to read manuals, so you're as prepared as possible for what awaits you in the game (and so you don't miss significant gameplay features because they were not obvious in game..

and yeah it would be hard to read a manual on the DS screen.. I wonder if they omitted Wii because it would be too hard to read a manual on a SD TV..

  4. Nope, don't think I did

Complex JRPGS? lawl, here's some jumbo shrimp after you get done with those

    I'm talking about Ubisoft anyway.

  5. Well OK Ubisoft is not known for their Japanese RPGs, but yeah, complex Japanese RPGs, compared to you know, Brain Age or Tetris DS, games that are aimed squarely at "casual gamers"

(while hooking several of the rest of us in the process

  6. Of all the companies, Ubi seems to flail around with their presentation the most desperately.

  7. This really doesn't matter.

  8. Don't care about the manuals but I wish we could get whole 360 cases back. I hate the flimsy new ones.

There is nothing wrong with the new cases. Stop complaining about nothing.
