  1. TNL Movie Club: True Romance [1993]

Probably one of my favorite movies of all time. written by Quentin Tarantino directed by Tony Scott. A fuckin masterpiece. Now watch it so we can talk about it.

  2. I used to watch this movie all the fucking time. So many great scenes, such as all the Drexler shit, and Dennis Hopper explaining the history of Sicily. To be honest, I've been afraid to go back to it since most other movies of this type and era have aged like shit.
I might be confusing this with another movie, but wasn't QT pissed because he wrote this a s 1950's period piece, and Scott modernized it?

  3. You're part nigger

  4. wtf dave.

  5. This movie would have been a lot better without the godawful soft porn soundtrack. I'd love to see Tarrantino do a cut of this with his own music choices.

QT is not pissed about this. The SE DVD has him explaining how he would have a different ending than Scott's, but he is okay with the changes since he was not director.

Anyway, this movie holds up just fine. I need to pick up the bluray since someone stole my SE DVD.

And the epic mexican stand-off, James Gandolfini vs. Alabama, this movies fuckin' chock full of awesome stuff.

I had no idea about any of that. That sounds really cool though. But man, I love the ending to this movie.

For some reason everytime I think about this movie the first scene to pop into my head is at the end when Alabama writes "You're so cool" on the napkin.

Really the only two songs I can remember in this movie are the theme that plays at the beginning and the one that plays during Christopher Walken's interrogation of Clarence's dad and I really like both of those they really set the mood for their respective scenes.

That said my favorite thing about this movie has to be the cast. They fuckin' knocked it out of the park they made every scene enjoyable to watch. Fuckin' rad movie.

  8. One of the few times I enjoyed Brad Pitt!
As far as ensemble casts go, they really did a fantastic job casting this movie.

One of the best scenes in movie history as far as I'm concerned. Easily one of the most memorable.

  10. Brad Pitt's character inspired me to make a honey bear bottle bong, and it's awesome.

BTW was there anybody who hadn't seen this movie before? I doubt it but just wonderin'.
