I see most people going for the XL, but i think a lot of people would be happy with the small one if they tried it. The screen size isn't a lot bigger, but it's big enough to make a difference. It's noticeably sharper than the XL screen too, which looks just a little blurry in comparison.

I've enjoyed not having crab claw syndrome playing handhelds with the XL. I know it's just blown up, but the larger volume to hold is more important for me.
Which is weird - for as thin and slippery as the 3DS feels, the DS Lite *never* gave me issues. Felt perfect to use.

The near launch 3DS systems had bigger boxes than the current ones.
The New 3DS models are only out in Japan and Australia.
