The "super stable" 3D is pretty cool, you can move your head or the 3DS around freely like you would a regular handheld and it doesn't "drop" the 3D. It's going to take some effort to break the habit of holding the 3DS in a stable head-on position, cause I still found myself doing that. You can also definitely feel it tracking your face sometimes, like if you look away and then look back there will be fraction of the second where you can see it "focus".

The C-stick just feels like a ThinkPad nubbin.

It's cool everything is at the bottom of the 3DS.
did you get face plates? i meant to share here too

i got the wooden one and isabelle and the Kawaii ones are on their way

yes, i change the plate all the time
    Donk

  2. My goodness. That bag.

  3. I shouldn't want to buy a smaller 3DS than the one I have, just so I can switch around cute stupid faceplates...but damn...

I see most people going for the XL, but i think a lot of people would be happy with the small one if they tried it. The screen size isn't a lot bigger, but it's big enough to make a difference. It's noticeably sharper than the XL screen too, which looks just a little blurry in comparison.
    Donk

    Regular 3DS > XL.

  7. I've enjoyed not having crab claw syndrome playing handhelds with the XL. I know it's just blown up, but the larger volume to hold is more important for me.

Which is weird - for as thin and slippery as the 3DS feels, the DS Lite *never* gave me issues. Felt perfect to use.

Couldn't find the Isabelle one; so I was like why settle for second best?

I've got reasonably large hands but I have no problem with the regular 3ds, and the screens on the XLs always look horrible.

Quick zephyrs blow, vexing daft Jim.

  9. I wasn't aware the new 3DS was out. Is the box the bigger one? I was in TRU yesterday and saw a regular 3DS that had a larger box than another one beside it. Neither were XLs.

The near launch 3DS systems had bigger boxes than the current ones.

The New 3DS models are only out in Japan and Australia.
