Finally tried out a demo 3DS at Nintendo store. It is funny how virtually every single demo unit, the 3D effects slider is set all the way down. I am not sure this is all it cracked up to be, any slight movement and the effects are lost + fuzziness. But when it is in focus, it is pretty nice.

Launch lineup is pretty bad, even by launch lineup standards.

::nods:: It's the kind of thing we're putting up with now because the tech is new and it's all very exciting, etc. Once it's further refined, though, we're going to look back and wonder how the hell we ever put up with such a finicky implementation.

I've also heard reports of varying sweet spots, but I'm inclined to believe people are imagining things. My sweet spot is pretty damn small.

Agreed, since I wear glasses. A stronger library + lower price and I will own one (probably wait for a revision of hardware as well, as I really like my DSiSUPERSIZE).

I noticed that with the depth slider set too high. I really don't think many people are using this thing with the slider set to full, or else we might see people looking like the film director that used Steve Martin's glasses in The Jerk.

It's not that bad, there just isn't a standout title if you dislike fighters, racing games, or strategy.
