That's misleading though, as it includes used prices for everything except the 3DS. Good luck getting a new 360 for $100.
edit: Nintendo will now be taking a loss on every 3DS. I can't wait for the spin to come in on that.

And in 2 years, it will be -$200. Genius.
I'm not saying it like there's some inherent linear formula at work here. However I do think that markets often push a product to whatever cost that market values it at.
Hate it all you want, people valued the Wii at its price for such a time that it went years without a drop (no matter how much the echo-chamber clamored and agreed that it need to or be doomed). I think given the current value-prospect offered by the 3DS for $250, not a lot of people were willing to bite. With this announcement, I still think its overpriced because the value prospect is still the same: a mini me-too console on-the-go that wants AAA titles with the same fidelity, hype, etc. as its bigger brethren. With next to none of the real values associated with a portable:
- Long battery? Nope
- Ease-in, ease-out burst-session style games? Not the ones that are getting all the press as must-haves
- 3D? Not when it works precisely against a real value of a portable - the ability to play without a narrow field of vision.
- Affordability? Sure the system will be cheaper but those games are still in the $30 - $50 range, right?
So if I could see this thing dropping again - maybe not to $100 in 5-6 months, but $129 in under a year? $150 sooner than that?
