I bought my 3DS in March and I'm torn.

I like some of the downloadable games, the small form factor, and the 3D screen is genuinely cool. And having never played Ocarina of Time, I'm enjoying it now.

And the SpotPass/StreetPass idea is a great idea, albeit one in search of a game that will take proper advantage of it.

But just about everything else save Ghost Recon has been a disappointment. And DS games look so much worse than they do on my DSi XL.

If my DSi XL had Spot/StreetPass and the same downloadable market, I would just ditch the 3DS and play Bleach DS (2nd), Radiant Historia, Strange Journey and all the other DS JRPGs I have backed up.

Supposedly the updates have improved the way DS games appear on 3DS.

Also, i have to stress, this is nothing compared to the 1st year of the original DS.

The highlight of the DS' first year was pondering if Lost in Blue was in fact more agonizing to play than actually dying from exposure. I'm thankful the 3DS at least has plenty of random knick nacks to goof off with instead of Pictochat. Flipnote 3DS needs to hurry up though.

I was going to argue that Super Mario Galaxy was one of Nintendo's best games ever, but I can't argue with someone that lists Kaeru no Tame ni Kana wa Naru. <3
