Thanks for the recommendation - bought one for $11 on Amazon. It'll be nice to play the 3DS without my hands cramping up and not have to worry about the battery dying out as much.

Would say so. It's actually a remake of one of the earlier games (Ace Combat 2) with some nice gameplay tweaks. Missions are compact and varied enough to hold interest and so far the difficulty has been smoothly ticking up. Up to about the 7th mission now and dogfights are pretty heated. I've read the main campaign is fairly short, around 4-5 hours so keep that in mind in case you want to hold off for a price drop.

Groovy. My only complaint with the thing is that the 3DS's battery indicator is effectively useless. It will show that the battery is empty at about the same 3 hour mark as the regular battery, but you can keep playing for quite a while after that. I haven't actually played it enough to completely drain it yet.

  5. I wish I remembered to bring my system with me today. I could be playing Mario Kart 7.

  6. Yesterday at Best Buy I tooled around with Mario Land 3D. I almost bought a system on the spot. It was the first time a demo unit didn't make me want to kill myself.

  7. If you haven't bought one yet, don't.

    But... Mario is rad!

  9. revised hardware right around the corner is more radder.
he lived this long without it, what's another year.

But Chux needs Mario RIGHT NOW!

Or maybe he could wait two weeks and borrow a system from someone bored with Mario 3D and Kart since there may not be any more good games for a while again.
