Thread: Official Nintendo 3DS, 3DS XL, 2DS, "New" 3DS, & "New" 2DS XL Thread.

  1. The game is definitely all about characters and story, and mainly character growth. It's a pretty exhausting game though, because every character has a little story you can follow as you go through the events. So every time something happens you want to talk to everyone.

Also this is great news, I need to talk to XSeed about it!

  2. The US club Nintendo prizes are making sense now. Nintendo is trying to bolster a flagging Euro economy through immient Ebay auctions! We got screwed folks:

  4. Holy crap. US really does get ass-raped.

  5. So I got the 3DS XL in my hot little hands at Comic Con. I really want one now - while the screens are instantly recognizable as bigger, the unit doesn't feel large when holding it. The 3D effect does seem clearer, but I'm not too sure how much more pronounced it is. Just felt like the depth was easier to see, less ghosting going on when the 3D was all the way up and the sweet spot for the effect was noticeably wider.

I fell in love with the new matte finish. It's like holding a DS Lite all over again - the buttons are nice, it doesn't feel slippery at any time, etc. The stylus is back on the side again, is not extendable, but is thicker and shares the same matte finish giving a better grip on the thing. The Home, Select, and Start buttons are each their own dedicated piece, than buttons hiding under one piece of plastic skin. The 3D slider feels more solid, making it harder to accidentally move and clicks in and out of place between 2D/3D modes.

Saving the lack of a second circle pad, it really is a better, more comfortable 3DS all around.

In the UK at a minimum, the digital NSMB2 is going to be £10 more than the physical retail version. Nintendo is so God damn clueless it's amazing.

  7. It's similar in Japan, isn't it?

  8. Blame the bandwidth required. You know how much Compuserve charges per megabit?

  9. This thread reminded me to register my 3DS with club nintendo before I sell it towards the XL. Gold Nunchuk get.
