Wild. How did that not hit all the major news sites? I don't remember reading about that at all.
Further reading tells me that there's bad blood between Amazon & Nintendo because the 3DS launch was terrible and Nintendo didn't give them the same bulk discount that Wal-Mart got. Then Amazon had to sit on a ton of unsold systems and Nintendo wouldn't let them do a price cut to clear the inventory. And Amazon was also receiving a lot of returns from the screen scratching issue and had to just ship them back to Nintendo instead of putting them up on their Warehouse Deals site.
And this was all before the price cut hit, which just made things even worse and then Nintendo let the big brick & mortar stores cut the price early which screwed Amazon even more.
Yadda yadda yadda now I can't get an XL with prime shipping.

I caved and bought a blue one. I hope I don't regret this, I never actually got a chance to try an XL out in person.
I want one real bad, but the holidays and possible bundles are too close. I can wait.
First impression:
That top screen is huge! Goddamn!
Boss is in the office, so I can't mess with it. I just plugged it in.
This XL is pretty smexy. Upgrade only really cost about 80 since I sold my last one for 120. It's a nice machine with a nice new, brushed aluminum feel. Wish the color options were better than mana pot blue and health pot red.
Hrm, or get a blue one and put this on it. Instant DQ 3DS.
Chux, that is brilliant. I might actually do that!
Dear Nintendo Chinese slave factory workers:
Please ensure in the future that there isn't shit on the bottom screen, I like to apply screen protectors immediately upon opening and shit on the screen makes that difficult!
Love,
Gohan.
Also, the Write and Protect screens from gamestop are a hair too small for the screen. It'll do until I can order some Hori protectors.
Regular DS games look 10x better on this thing than on the regular 3DS. It's still not as good as a DSiXL I would assume, but I prefer it to my DS Lite. The stretched mode doesn't make me want to pluck out my eyes, and the 1:1 mode looks awesome, while not being tiny. The colors still look a little washed out compared to a DS Lite, though. Still, at this point I'll be playing my DS games on my 3DS because I actually like playing them on that system more, and not because I'm too lazy to fish out the other system.
If the thing had a way to plug my Space Invaders paddle I'd never play the DS Lite again.
