Atlus USA announced today that Etrian Mystery Dungeon is coming to North America in Spring 2015.

I quoted that so Yellerdog's junk post wouldn't prevent me from seeing it on a fresh new page.

This looks nice.

EOU2 debuted at 59k in japan, when the series usually hits around 90k...

I love these games but Atlus, Sega, whoever's deciding to release several of these per year, you need to slow down.

To be fair, maybe fans of the game want the REAL games, not the "let's add story and anime waifus" versions.

This. The lack of story is part of the appeal. I'm all over this Mystery Dungeon joint though.

What I really want is Etrian V, still difficult, no narrative, but with factions or choices. Like in the first one's 3rd(?) Stratum, where the orders are to wipe out the forest people. I wanted to say NO! and take on Radha.

PQ SOLD REALLY WELL, BETTER THAN EVERY OTHER GAME IN THE SERIES, BOSHI. NO HOPE FOR JAPAN.

EOU2 was released just after EOMD and EO5 were announced, roughly 6 months after PQ. That's stupid. What little i've heard of EOU2 sounds like they went further than "take the sparse but interesting story and anime it" and added, uh, cooking.
