That's fair!
That's fair!
I got this result from a form someone had on NeoGaf. The question is composed of my answers. Is this true or bullshit?
You currently have a Nintendo 3DS or 2DS system and you wish to transfer your data to a New Nintendo 3DS system. You will not be upgrading from the standard 2GB or 4GB SD card that came with your original system.
Make sure you do not attach a Nintendo Network ID to your new system.
Simply start the system transfer process on both systems and follow the instructions. At a certain point during the transfer process, you will be asked the question “Are you using an SD card or miniSD card with your system?". Choose 'Yes'.
Once you have made your selection, you can choose to transfer your data wirelessly or copy it via PC. Simply follow the on-screen instructions to find out more about each transfer method and to complete the system transfer.

So to me, it sounds like I don't need to do much of anything. BUT I *might* upgrade the card later, once the system transfer is already done. And it sounds like there is a card in the new 3DS already (that will hold the data that the old 3DS and old card holds), right?

Since you don't play portable games, you don't have any saves to lose anyway, right?
I have Ambassador games...and I did buy a couple Sega games already
I couldn't care less about any saves I have, really
The New 3DS comes with a 4GB micro SD card, yes. How close to full is your card? There needs to be some wiggle room.
HA! HA! I AM USING THE INTERNET!!1
My Backloggery
$40 for a rerelease of Ace Combat 3DS. Namco is nuts.
I don't know, but I didn't even think it was 4 GB total, so I would think I have wiggle room
12,698 open blocks
out of who knows what
lol..but all the games look around 50-150 so I would guess it's mostly empty
I started the system transfer not realizing my 4gb card was pretty much full. Went to copy-paste it over to the 4gb MicroSD through my computer and it was all "LOL NOT ENOUGH SPACE".
I think the few extra MBs it took to move the four DSIware games I had onto the SD from the system storage put it over 4gb... or something? Thankfully I was able to navigate to those DSIware games on the card and delete them because they were actually labeled as such and that lowered the size enough to copy & paste from one to the other.
It was dumb.
I don't have a card reader anymore so I am just rolling with the wireless method. I just want to know if Reggie Fils-Aime is going to beat my ass and steal my games because I didn't do it right
