Nintendo generally announces a redesign a year and a half after the original comes out, so we're about due I'd say. There's no way it doesn't have two analog pads. I'd also put money down on having to wait another two years for the XL version.

Looks like some companies are ditching 3DS packaged releases and opting for eshop only on upcoming titles. In addition to Xseed's Unchained Blades, there is Order Up, ATV Wild Ride, Fractured Soul, Planet Crashers, etc. Honestly all for this if it keeps DS/Wii level shovelware off the shelf.
