That got me hot
Can a mod separate this crap into a Motorcycle thread pls?
I keep coming in here expecting some drunken tones, ramon, or yeller cleavage shots.
That got me hot
Agreed, reading traffic in four directions is much more complicated than one. Combine that with construction, debris, changes in surface, and finding the fastest way out of a situation requires a lot more calculation than simply going in the same direction as a lot of other people. Back country roads are the best. Just never let your mind rest... there's always a potential for things to go sour. There have been a few times where pavement turned to loose packed dirt without notice, and I have seen plenty of deer in the road at night.
City driving is why my dad has always fought me on getting a bike. He did his internship at a hospital in Kansas City.
They would get guys in every week who got F up because City drivers just forget the bike is there and run over them or run them off the road.
I rode through downtown on my scooter during rush hour once. I'll never do it again. Mother fuckers are straight up trying to kill you. Seriously.
That's why it probably looks like I am riding like an asshole; I'm just trying to stay alive. There really is no point in pointing fingers at bad drivers; as a motorcyclist, one has to be responsible for his or her own life. The most important skill a rider can develop for traffic settings is recognizing other drivers' behavioral patterns. You also have to prepare for the worst; for example, at stop lights, I always stop all the way in the left side or the right side of the lane. If I am rear-ended, I won't be sandwiched in between the striking car and the car in front of me.
