I hate to sound heartless, but why is this a loss to humanity? He lived a full life and died. Did he donate to charities or make community improving decisions that are no longer going to happen since he has passed? I'm genuinely curious.

He did donate a lot of money to causes, but the Yankees cult of personality will probably keep that going. George is Kim Il Sung and his two sons are each one half of Kim Jong Il. I don't think it makes a difference either way whether you love or hate the Yankees.
