When I think about it, Theres only 1 day that I'd release "Back to Karkand" and thats 11-8-11. EA's vibe all along has been to talk shit on MW3 and to go after them. Its silly, but if I was to bet on a date, thats what I'm going with.

I almost positive that Back to Karkand is going to be day one. I never heard any differently. I'll try to find other sources, but I remember hearing from at least one other place that for LE owners it is day 1 and then a month after launch for others. That was the whole point of the LE I thought.

Course I can't find any official announcement from Dice, except that no LE owners will be able to pay for it 1 month after release so it does sound more like we will just be able to DL for free when it comes 1 month after. Honestly, not really that long to wait as We will have some bad ass maps to keep us busy.

Nowhere does it say launch actually. Also it seems they changed that 1 month exclusive thing. PS3 has a 1 week exclusive now on all BF3 DLC so theres that.

It would be a nice surprise but theres no way in hell they are going to release a BC2 Vietnam-like expansion on day one - esp after the crunch they are having from beta to retail. B2k isnt just a map pack. All different weapons and vehicles taken from BF2. There are rumors its even going to have the MEC faction and character models. I kinda wish it was just a normal server rotation mappack honestly. I played BF2 to death - I want the new BF3 toys on the BF2 maps.

I saw Kmart's gonna have like 25% of their initial shipment be the LE version.

Not a rumor. They are very unclear how it will be set up though. All signs are pointing that this is going to be very similar to the BC2 Nam expansion. Back to Karkand even has its own unlocks and "persistence". Its not just maps. Cool and all but I hope its in the normal BF3 map rotation.

The first print run of BF3 basically is all Limited Editions. There isnt any special cost LE.

It does sound like a Vietnam thing. Wonder if its on disc or not. Hard to tell. Just picked up a new harddrive so I can install the BF3 stuff along with my BC2 install. I was rockin' a 20 gig up to this point lol.

One week to go.
Now its a big battle on the BF3 boards to get that shittyass mini map auto spotting when firing removed. As if directional sound, muzzle flash, tracer trails, and mini map death icons dont give shooters away enough. Why this game needs auto spotting on top of that makes no sense. Leave the hand holding for COD.

To COD's credit, they give you the option to not show up on the map at all with silencers and perks. Its just another gameplay wrinkle. Hardcore looks like its gonna be the way to go with this game.
