Fuck you and your trolling ass. This forum and its Battlefield crew have been around for nearly a decade now - no one's ever seen you in a single match. Only see you in every TNL Battlefield thread talking shit - or bragging and being an asshole about how awesome you are for how much money youve saved not buying the game of the thread youre posting in. A whole decade of it. Welcome to the ignore list.

  2. i unlocked the eod bot tonight. that thing is a fucking hoot. rolling up to dudes, welding them to death, or leaving it parked on the middle of a map and using it to repair my heli....the only thing that would make it better would be not even having to get out of the heli to do it.

Ok so BF3 isnt BF2 - it's NOT Bad Co 2. BF3 is entirely its own animal. If youre a more seasoned Battlefield fan, the sooner you realize this the better. Its not going to have all that "flatten the map" destruction - thats for the BC games. BF3 isnt going to have flags everywhere in conquest - thats for BF2/2142.

BF3 is very complex, slower paced and very very hardcore - especially for a console game. I keep saying its not for the feint of heart - this game is NOT easy. I live and breathe Battlefield and even Im overwhelmed and humbled. Theres something about the game that keeps you on edge and keeps you feeling uneasy - this is where the game excels and what it does best IMO. High fidelity and immersion - its very real, especially if your sound is cranked. Shit is scarey!

BF3 is super difficult in the objective modes and requires some crazy teamwork. I honestly cant believe its as complex and unforgiving as it is being a big budget shooter. People are going to hate this game, for real. I mean you have items in the game that do NOTHING unless you have a teammate to coordinate with. (UAV + mortar combo or the sloflam as examples). For these reasons, im not sure its quite as fun, or the same style as fun, as the BC games. In BC you could pick up and play and everything was somewhat streamlined. BF3 is NOT really a game you play to relax like you would with BC2. BF3 is fun for different reasons. Again, BF3 is a whole other animal.

Frustration can set in in BF3 if you are getting your ass kicked - but play the game with teamwork and good lawd its as fun as online teamplay shooters could ever get. You have to really think about how to approach every map and cooordinate with what your buddies are using - both simple class loadouts AND the vehicle unlocks (like the chooper driver + gunner). Ive been playing with a minimum of 8 friends and its been incredible. Im talking playing for 6 straight hours incredible. I was pretty surprised to see some of the comments on here - because my friends and I had a much different experience this week. We cant stop playing it. Ive had 2 of the best gaming nights I can ever remember this week on BF3 with friends. Too too too too too fun.

Rush mode and its new rule changes (not having the round end unless a crate is actually disarmed) are beyond epic on some of these BF3 maps. We had an hour long attacking session on the Canals arming and destroying with 1 ticket left on THREE different bases! It was the most epic online gaming round ive ever played. Rush is so much more open than any BC2 map. Just look at Caspian compared to any BC2 rush. Its night and day in the openness of the design. Peak rush is easily one of the best multiplayer maps ever made. The variety here is awesome.

The gunplay in BF3 is by far far far DICE's finest. Its not even close. Its almost too complex with all the unlocks and setups.

Last bit - the vehicles. How cool is it that the brought the moblie spawn point elements from the original Vietnam and 2142? That huge lumbering amphibious tank is straight out of 2142 and the huge Goliath vehicle - remember that thing? How cool is it that the vehicles require some serious skill to even stay in the air? No more circle strafing, invincible chopper faggots. You want to be good in a chopper or jet - you have to really work at it.

There are problems with gun balance, vehicles issues, and control bits, the gadgets seem glitchy - which im certain will get fixed in time. Serverwise things are working beautifully and being able to quene into even on console servers is brilliant. Getting into friends is as easy as possible now.

Let BF3 simmer for a while. Unlock different things you will notice the possibilities in due time. Unlock the MAV uav drone chopper and use it with your buddy dropping the mortars - that is some crazy wild stuff. Its exactly like dropping arty with commander in BF2 - just handled 100% differently.

Is BF3 as good as BF2? I would probably say no - but I respect they actually tried something new and fresh.
BF3 is a whole new animal.

    See you on the Battlefield...
Well said. I think that BF2 has the epic feel because of how big the maps were and the amount of players. I feel BF3, and even BC2, have surpassed BF2 with gun play and all the gadgets and tactics involved in using them. Another thing to consider is don't base your enjoyment off of points or kills. Jyoung was pissing me off tonight telling me to get in the action while I was using the MAV, when we were doing just fine. While it was not as useful as if we had someone mortaring, I was spotting guys that nobody else was able to see and telling the team where vehicles were coming from. Essentially, I was playing commander for our entire party. Was I raking in points or killing people? No, but I was helping the team and I was having fun doing it. Some people, like dumbfuck jyoung, seem to think if you aren't on the ground taking a point, you aren't doing shit, but that just isn't the case. Air support does a whole lot more than people think it does. They can take out tanks and infantry, spot people that others can't and help take out other enemy air support. They may not be getting as many points, but they are doing their job and that is what BF is all about. Everyone doing their part. This isn't COD or UT CTF. There are many ways to to win a match, and not everyone has to follow the same way.

  4. Yeah that's what people don't understand about snipers. Not only are they taking out enemy snipers who could put serious hurt on those taking objectives, but they are pinning down the rest of the enemy soldiers in the vicinity who will then have to avoid the area or take cover and move much more slowly.

Exactly. It's all about squad work. If there are a bunch of randoms sniping then that is bad. If you have a squad with a good, dedicated sniper than it can be beneficial. Same works for all classes. You don't have to be getting kills or capping points to benefit you team.

You are such a little bitch man, seriously. You didn't make BF, stop acting like someone ran over your child for criticizing it. This game has serious flaws, just like every other BF before it. The game was rushed out, you can tell and if you're trying to deny that take off your fanboy blinders for a few minutes.

All critiques in here have been legit, we can't all just masturbate all over a game that has issues. It's fun for what it is, I'll give you that. No matter how many times you try to remind us you've been playing BF for a decade, it doesn't make you look like a badass or give you any extra insight into this game. As you stated, this game is quite different from the earlier releases. Your opinion is no more valid then someone who picked up BF3 last week and has been trying to connect to games.

99% of snipers are just trying to pad their K/D ratio. Don't paint it as some benevolent act of teamwork when that's rarely the case.

  8. Conquest mode blows on 360 for some of the bigger maps like Asspian Boredom. 24 players just ain't enough to keep the action up.

Rush mode seems like the way to play the 360 version. Even then, there are only like 4 good maps out of the bunch.

Flashlights and "disabled" vehicles are also lame as hell.

  9. Oh yeah the flashlights are absolutely terrible.

This is typical of all randoms. I didn't presume to say that all snipers were properu supporting their team, as that would be just as inaccurate as your assertions that only 1% of them are.

But why don't you tell me what a sniper who is smart enough to set up in the right place isn't doing to help his team? Are they supposed to charge objectives too?
