I'm in Dallas (Allen/McKinney) TX for the week

Another one of these threads.

I'm here for work this week. Anything fun to do if i get some free time? Good bars and especially BBQ recommendations would be nice. My initial impressions, it's fucking hot here (and I have to work outside all week, but at least I'm in a tent... and there are thunderstorms forecast for the next 2 days.

I got to be over that way (E Plano) tomorrow after 5, if you want to grab a drink. I don't know much about Allen/Mckinney. For BBQ in the DFW area, I'd recommend:

Crap all that BBQ is far. When will you be around till? Tomorrow is the first day I'm going to this work site so I don't know what my schedule is like. Ever heard of The Fillmore Pub in Plano? I found that on yelp, looks decent. Any hipster bars?

The Filmore sounds good. I was thinking http://www.jorgscafevienna.com/, but it's closed Mondays.

Denton, University & Berry (FW) and Greenville Ave (D) are more Hipsterific.
