Thread: Culdcept Saga

  1. Xbox 360 I Culdcept Saga

I know a few people around here play this wonderful game. Has any one managed to complete the story mode?

  2. Seriously? I'd reckon most people who have it have beat story mode, it's not that long or difficult. I was really hoping there was an expansion or something when I saw this thread. It's funny you bring it up though, because my xbox has been offline for a while so I was working on a couple of the CS achievements recently, unlocking some avatar parts. I was never able to get the online to work with this game, and I'm sure the online community is beyond dead, so I've just accepted to never get those.

I really wish there were some options to speed things up. Coming back to this, and with almost all decks having a ton of draw/deck reduction spells, there's a lot of tedium. Still great as a "beer & pretzles" game with a group.

  3. I really liked this game. I played an online match or two but its hard to commit 2 hours to a match--especially if you're losing. One option that I wish it had was having CPU players in online matches so you and a friend can team-up. I think 2v2 and and 3v1 modes with human players are the only available options.

  4. Isn't there already a thread for this?

Definitely. I really tried hard to get into Culdcept (bought the PS2 and 360 games), but the matches just take way, way too long. At the very least card introductions should be skippable.

  6. Shaving the player turns down to thirty seconds helps. And they sped up most animations for this rev: draw, discard, lap bonus, etc. I actually think it moves at a decent clip.

I'm always down to shelf SSFIV in favor of this if any of you kids want to play.

  7. I'm waiting on my Gamestop giftcard to arrive which I will use to renew my live account and then I will be up for some games.

I haven't had much trouble so far in the story mode however I am stuck Cravonia. I've adjusted my book twice and came close but no luck yet.
