Thread: Best Versions of Multiplatform Games

  1. #121
Zeno Clash is absolutely worth playing, and you might as well just grab it on Steam right now for $3.75. The XBLA version has a few new weapons and lets you play through the challenge tower (which is present in the PC version, but singleplayer-only) in co-op, but the PC version has better graphics (assuming your PC isn't a pile) and controls.

I'm all for combining and bumping the discussion though. Some people posted some really great links in that thread where essentially scientific comparisons were done for things like tearing, frame rate, etc.

As everyone knows, a lot of the earlier games were better on 360, but it's starting to swing the other way. Examples of better PS3 versions are...
    • Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
    • Dead Space 2 (extra content)
    • L.A. Noire (extra content)
    • Portal 2 (free non-retard version)
    • Split/Second
    • Vanquish

Examples of more recent 360 wins are...
    • Bayonetta
    • Red Dead Redemption

I always study this fairly well, and I bought all of those on those platforms, so that must have been what I learned.
Split/Second was really better on PS3? Not questioning it, but that's neat. I started buying multiplat games for PS3 first only because I lacked the HDD space on the 360, but in the end I just enjoy playing on it more. It is nice to see it move around sometimes. I usually study it fairly well too, in case there's anything game-breaking. I didn't recently and got stuck with Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. Screen-tearing and a lower framerate on PS3 makes it a little nauseating, sadly.

I have first person games on my Holodeck. That's better than on PC.
