Thread: Best way to prep videos for YouTube

  1. Best way to prep videos for YouTube

I'm looking to start uploading some movies I've shot to YouTube. Now, Ive seen video there that looks nice and clear and video that looks like it's made with legos it's so pixely. Is there a certain way to prep your video before uploading so that it looks as good as possible?

If it helps, all my videos are currently AVI files shot in standard def widescreen.

    Thanks.

  3. Too late. So either answer the question or fuck off.

I'll be fucking off, thank you very much!

  5. don't compress them with xvid or whatever too much, because it also does some post-upload compression to make it into the mp4/flv files and thats usually where poor quality comes from (that and shitty cameras in general)

  6. Gotcha, thanks. As far as the camera goes, it may shoot in standard def, but it was Sony's top-of-the-line consumer-grade camcorder the year that I bought it. It actually shoots pretty sharp video.
