I have no problem with the casting, the rest though yeah.

Previews look like an action movie. The books are barely that at all.

There is a whole lot of action in those books though.

My problem with the casting is it shows they were taking liberties from the very beginning.
Idris Alba is an awasome actor and would make for a great gunsliner, but he's not the right casting if you're trying to cast Roland from the books. So when they say he's playing Roland you have to instantly assume that they have no intent of replicating the books.
