So....you have to pay for demos now?
Exactly. Fanboys will attempt to spin it till the cows come home, but that's exactly where we're headed regardless if this strictly fits the traditional "demo" definition.
It's scary how quickly we moved past finished games being sold in one piece with retarded and/or oblivious and/or just-plain-old-fashioned-zero-self-control-consumer-addicts nary batting an eye. Let's check back in a year and see how much bolder and brazen the industry has gotten with this greedy shit.
Good thing I don't care about what you said because it was AWESOME.
Would recommend to a friend, A++ seller.

It really is a stand alone game. Story wise at least.
I think Compass is on the right track when it comes to some DLC. Look at the Dragon Age Witch Hunt quest that came out a couple of days ago. That's the kind of content an old RPG would have given you to play as part of the epilogue.
If it just recycles assets from the main game, either save it up for one big DLC package or give it away (maybe for no more than 160 Live points) as a goodwill gesture. That Dragon Age pack being seven bucks considering what's in it is just another example of DLC that will turn people off to the good stuff.
But the Dead Rising game is substantial enough to not fit into that category, from what I've heard.
So, EA bad, Capcom good? We've learned a lot.
Infotastic.
I only played the demo of Case Zero (I just don't care for Dead Rising, no matter how many chances I give it), but it seemed like a full game experience, even if it is a short one.
At five bucks, is this a bad thing? As Josh said, you don't have to buy it. I played the trial and, from that, I know that I don't want to play it anymore nor do I give a damn about Dead Rising 2. For others, they get more play and unique content for a game they're looking forward to, plus are rewarded in-game for doing so.
I don't see what the problem is here.
