And a note: apparently the PC and console versions are very much not the same. According to Ex_mosquito, the console (PS2, specifically) version has much shorter stages for 1-1 and 2-1. Meaning console players aren't likely to have much luck assailing PC demo scores.

Can someone describe to me what's in the "PC demo" 1-1 level then? The console (Xbox) version ends at the baby head boss, and is fairly brief. 1-2 consists only of the orb-like miniboss, and 1-3 is longer and leads to the woman in the cube. Judging from the scores I'd be inclined to think (and hope :P) that perhaps the demo rolled these three into one or something. I'd contribute a score but I can't crack about 55 million in 1-1. Quite a disparity, but perhaps it's just me.


-oh yes, I tried to just download it for myself but on my 56k it seems it's pretty unlikely.

I haven't tried 2-1 much, I've been focusing on 1-1 mostly, hence the low 2-1 score. I think I'm going to try switching back to Kuga.

That's where it ends on the demo as well - I'm assuming they beefed up the scoring in Takumi-like fashion for the sake of the demo. It would explain the disparity at any rate, as I'm sure you could trounce us otherwise.

The patterns in the PC demo version have quite a bit more enemies on screen at a time. The console Practice mode stages (at least on PS2, I'd assume Xbox is the same) are just like playing in Arcade mode.

OK, I downloaded this thing (thank you freeware download manager), but when I click the installed exe file it says there's a missing DLL file. Is this what the patch fixes? If so, can someone link me right to the file? Thanks in advance, sorry for being a pain in the ass.
