So not everyone likes spyware actively scanning their entire system while they play games. It can be sandboxed, but it's better to not have to deal with it in the first place.
Is that really a hard concept?
I didn't buy Battlefield either.

No one is shocked. It's just that EA has never done anything to the benefit of its customers, and they continue to find new ways to screw them. It's like buying additional 360s to replaces ones that broke and fucked you. Why? Take your business somewhere else. The only shame is that BioWare got assimilated, so it's harder to ignore EA all together.
Countdown to the de facto end of the console generation: 5 exclusives
Most recent: Deadly Premonition: Director's Cut (4/30)
Next up: The Last of Us (6/11)
Later: Puppeteer (9/10), Beyond: Two Souls (10/18), Rain (TBA), Until Dawn (TBA)
I've spent a couple hours on Origin during the free BF3 beta. Uninstalled it and never again will use it.
TOR doesn't require Origin.
If the game is good enough I'd put up with it -- but I get the complaints. I'm on Xbox though so unaffected.

I'm buying the PC version. I even punched in Mass Effect 2's CD key on Origin so I could download it and not deal with the physical disc.
I forgot about Kinect integration for this title, I hope it works for the romance options.
WORK THAT ASS MIRANDA.
