What they're saying they're going to do sounds okay with with me - I just don't believe that's what is gonna end up happening. I'd rather they just be patient and delay it and release a full game... make it multiple discs if you have to. I guess Square themselves is well aware of how long it takes them to get games out, though, and top of everything they have on the working table right now it would likely be even longer than usual, and they don't wanna lose the hype. That's the best case scenario I think. Worse case is they're planning to milk the fans. I'm ultimately disappointed either way. Because I already know I'm gonna try the first "Part" just to see. And if it's good I'll end up buying the others. Then when they release the inevitable physical special edition, the collector in me will have to have that too, lol. FML.

Of course, I'll never buy FFVII again, regardless of what platform. It could be a PC, Genesis and Neo Geo cross buy, and I still wouldn't go for it.

Even if you never played a Final Fantasy before theres a lot to enjoy here, but if you did play the original and want to see the world fleshed out like crazy this just might be your game of the generarion.

It’s really good. I’ve put about 24 hours into it since Thursday night.

Honeybee Inn is fabulous.

There is a lot of materia, and the battle system is probably neat, but I’m playing on easy so I’m mashing it up.

Disappointed it isn't the full story - but I like that since it isn't the whole tale, they're expanding on the world and building the characters up.

I originally said it was more preferable to suck Josh's dick than have this be episodic but now that I'm 16 hours into Midgar I totally get it. We could have had a pretty ok single game that was an exact copy of the original, or we can have 3 or 4 games like this that flesh the entire thing out like crazy and genuinely feels fresh and new.

They made the right choice.
