Thread: Burning a image file so it can be played on a dvd player.

  1. if the image is from an actual dvd, your player sucks

some of the really early dvd players had trouble reading burned media

  2. Winrar can open ISO files and see whats inside, even extract to regular files.

If you open the iso and there isnt a TS_VIDEO folder, its not a Video-DVD.

Early, early players also could only read + or -.

Try explaining that to some 80 year old guy with a first year DVD player.

  4. Some couldn't read either.

Thankfully DVD players are like $30 bucks and most of the early ones have shit the bed a long time ago. Hell, I saw a Blu-ray player the other day for $55.

  5. People still burn discs?

    Weirdos do.

  7. I do. Got a blu-ray burner for christmas.

Its really hard to get any HD to play at other peoples houses, but nearly everyone has a blu-ray player now.

Plus I can back up my media collection on a dozen or so BDR-25s.
