I'm going to buy it. I was going to buy it this weekend but the bug talk put me off so much. If it plays like the first I am happy.
Test Drive Unlimited 2.
Got this launch day. Lots of server issues, flagrant omissions (no mic muting option on PS3... oh, the humanity), and bewildering regressive design choices. The interface of the original game was incredibly slick. I guess Eden must have fired that guy. So many changes for changes' sake. Frustrating.
Yet I still like it. Quite a bit even. I was going to make a thread until I realized Joust is probably the only other person on the site who cares.

It does and it doesn't. The first was one of those games that really struck a chord with me. I could honestly write pages on everything the sequel does worse, and the few things it improves, down to the most trivial details. And probably work myself into quite the tizzy doing so. But don't worry, I won't.
The core game still plays the same more or less. Hell, the entire Oahu island is back. You should like it.
FYI, Gamestop's version comes with the Casino Online DLC, which normally costs like $10 and has its own achievements/trophies and 10 extra in-game levels (bringing the cap to 70). The other versions just come with a car each I think.
I'll buy it when I can get it for super cheap and I play through some of my old racing games. It's a shame that the game isn't the leap forward one would expect after 4 years.
Nah didn't add any lighted fans, and the front fan does work well. Just depending on how dusty your place is, if you have any pets, etc you may need to clean the front access screen often. My dog sheds like crazy so to keep good airflow I have to clean it some what often, but its pretty easy to do.
