Songs that sound like other songs

So I was browsing Youtube and came across this Croatian diddy:

and while it didn't really interest me at first, I felt that the two riffs were really familiar, so I've been replaying it a lot trying to think of what songs the reminded me of. The acoustic riff sounds a lot like F.R. David's "Don't Go", but I still can't place the electric riff. It's probably something eighties, but all I can conjure up right now is Flock of Seagulls and I'm certain that's not even close. Does anyone have ideas?

Alternatively, I can't be the only one who likes trying to find sound connections between different songs. I like a lot of Hip-Hop just because I recognize a sample or want to hunt it down. Have you found any connections, intended or not, that you think are cool? Maybe a mashup idea? Post them!
