Clearly, Japanese publishers should be handing out more of their prized IP to western developers. It's worked out so well for Capcom this gen.

IGN has been handing out 4.5s as if they haven't been over-rating shit fir years. Even to games that deserve way better, like Shoot Many Robots.

In this case, it's probably justified.

Red Boxed this yesterday. Did half of it yesterday and half of it today. You could probably beat it in one day if you started around lunch on a weekend..

The Good: It looks great. Every area is polished and looks nice. Lots of classic RE zombies and other monsters to kill. There are a couple classic character cameos. The story isn't insultingly bad.

The Bad: Game is short. Characters don't move and fight as smoothly as Left4Dead. No jump. Single player AI can be stupid and unhelpful. The game straddles L4D and RE and doesn't really excel at anything. Cheap deaths. Levels aren't as expansive as L4D.

It is alright. It is worth playing if you are just crazy for RE. I suppose this game was intended for multiplayer. I can only guess how bad/good that is with the movement and aiming not being as good as other current FPSs.

Dont drop 60 on it.
