Yeah, no
Those things sucked ass
I had more fun playing Wii Sports with family and friends than playing anything on 360 or PS3. If Wii was nothing more than a cheap gimmick then Sony wouldn't have ripped it off, and MS wouldn't have released Kinect. Like it or not, Nintendo is the engine of innovation that keeps pushing the industry forward.

It was nothing but a cheap fad which is why those efforts by microsoft and sony to copy it have basically fallen flat.
Not really, because a Smartglass-compatible tablet doesn't come with an Xbox. Developers hate developing for subsets of a console's user base. Also, tablets don't have analog sticks and buttons, which makes them harder to use while holding a traditional controller. As for the PS3-Vita combo, severely fragmented user base.
I don't give a shit about using the second screen for gameplay. I would have preferred a Pro Controller but you can't use that to play Mario for some reason.
Like how a developer can't stream content from the Wii U storage, because there basically is none in the retard version. I get the concept. But I can't envision a game I would want to play that will actually need the second screen, so anyone could implement it as an option for those who want to use it and have a tablet or a Vita.
edit: And all of that ignores a three hour battery life for the damn thing. While that's in line with an iPad or a Vita for gaming, it's awful for a main controller for a home console.

And everything that has come from Kinect and Move has been garbage. It's just a fact, motion controls haven't panned out. For proof, look at, um, the Wii U. The system's main control method is a good old pad.
You've been playing games a long time. You have played the past systems. You know whats out there. You're seriously telling me that the 360 and PS3, home to the best developers in the world for over half a decade, couldn't deliver an experience to top swinging around a remote in a crude approximation of tennis and bowling? I find that tough to believe.
Here comes the "but Nintendo has the best developers" bullshit that has never been true.
