Majora's Mask and Chrono Cross. Seems more like you just hate sequels that aren't recycled.

I thought Crono Cross was fine. It was ambitious with how it approached combat, making grinding nonessential. Plus the skills/spells system was a neat balance of trade offs - making something stronger meant waiting longer/spending more points to activate. Slots meant you couldn't just use anything and everything willy-nilly. It wasn't just different for the sake of, it was good & challenging too.

But to be OT: is anyone else getting Smash like a chump (like me) this week?

Also, games that require some crazy obscure shit to get the good/real ending are cordially invited to eat the entire bag of dicks.

Chrono Cross was pretty much Japan's revenge for World War II.

I liked the music in Chrono Cross but to me the game should have been better. It was a small shadow compared to what people enjoyed about Chrono Trigger.

Chrono Trigger needs a fast forward button to make it fun. Luckily frameskip exists.

Little indie game dubbed "Super Smash Bros" was released on WiiU today. Almost unheard of series. Very underrated in its genre and gaming in general. A sort of winner takes all, beat em up slash fighting game featuring all of nintendos franchises. I look forward to seeing what all the hype is about.
