Yeah, I post on a culinary forum. My personality doesn't go over so well.

I yukk it up over here with sometimes outrageous claims, but even that gets boring. The amount of dumb content on other boards that goes unchecked because people are afraid to speak out or prove somebody wrong because they'll be labeled a trouble maker is crazy.

Unless they all said, "Bad dog!" in the comment box, that's not really negative reinforcement. Positive reinforcement for something negative, perhaps.

You know, I have not seen too much harshness to new people, just to annoying people. I am not sure it has anything to do with people being new. If we played with the "kiddie gloves", is the prevailing logic that they will after a month or so become accustomed and less bothersome? I have seen some people transition very smoothly onto TNL, and they tend to stick around as well.
