NBA playoffs

I'm surprised that we don't have a thread for this.

I watched a couple of playoff games today, first being the Pacers against the Bulls. Rose really showed why he is a top candidate for league MVP, taking the game on his shoulders in the 4th to sqeak by the Pacers, who led for most of the game.

The 2nd game was my Mavs, playing against the Blazers. Jason Kidd hit 6, 3 point field goals and scored 24 in a close matchup. The Mavs looked like they were on the ropes in the middle of the 3rd, and early into the 4th, until Dirk put up 18 points in the final period, to lift the Mavs to the win.

I also watched a little bit of the Atlanta vs. Orlando matchup, in what looks to be a lopsided round favoring Atlanta. Orlando looked so out of sync.

The early games have been surprisingly good, super good actually. Can the underdogs actually stand a chance in the NBA for once? The refs decided 2 games though (Bulls game 2 and Thunder game 1). Hope the level of competition can hold up.

The Mavs have Crawford as a ref for tonight's game. The Mavs are 1-17 when he is on the floor.

Grizzlies just gave Zach Randolph a four-year $71 million extension.

Dunno if they have the money now to resign Marc Gasol, but locking up Gay and Randolph were good moves.

I still don't like the contract extension they gave Mike Conley.
