  2. Yoshi just wishes this thing was amazing and is sad. Go play your Genesis and cool off. You're embarrassing yourself.

Just don't buy the thing and say you don't like the idea of it. I'm not getting one for most of the reasons you list, but I'm not on here proselytizing like a meth crazed preacher.

Basically, U Mad Bro? You mad indeed.
    Boo, Hiss.

  3. FUCK YOU GENESIS HAS BLAST PROCESSING

So your principles are the principles? . Because IP does not buy Steam games...

OK I am done I promise...

USB3 with a good fast external desktop drive, is only a little bit slower than you're average HDD connected with Sata. The only way you'd see a significant difference between the internal hard drive on the XBox 1, and a USB3 external is if the XBox 1 was using an SSD, or a high end velociraptor (a 10,000 RPM drive) or other super fast drive. Considering MS is probably going to go with a 5400 rpm drive in this, the difference between it and a fast external are going to be minimal ie barely noticeable. No physical hard drive out there is coming anywhere near the 6Gbit limit of Sata 3, or the 5Gbit limit of USB3.

The thing that I don't get about your argument is that the above has largely been the norm for nearly every platform ever released. Saturn controllers didn't work on a Dreamcast. N64 controllers didn't work on a Wii. Xbox controllers didn't work on a 360. Is there a console that has ever had an upgradeable internal drive? How many consoles have even used USB? Region locked systems have been around since NES. None of this stuff is new. This isn't really about a lack of choice (which has been the norm in this industry for nearly its entire existence) it's about a lack of features/options that you wish it had.

The larger issues, however, are staggering in comparison to the above and are of more concern to me than anything above.

  8. PS3 has an upgradable hard drive.

and there won't be any import games for XBone. Maybe there will be an erogé visual novel or two
    Donk

More reasons to buy a PS4.

Not exactly. Once one console gets something right, I think it's absolutely fair to expect consoles that follow to maintain those advances. It's why I was irritated about the retard version 360. The original Xbox had a standard HDD. Why take that away? The PS3 took that, made it upgradable, removed region locking, and let you use lots of USB accessories. All of those things should now be considered mandatory. Isn't the point of new generations to advance? It's like the PS1/Saturn/N64 having less buttons than the SNES or the PS2/DC/GC/Xbox having no analog sticks.
