Thread: Official Xbox One Thread

  1. I'd rather see another ODST game, at least that series kind of switched things up a bit although I'd make it a little less about Aliens/Covenant.

My bad - what I mean is the relatively smaller "core" audience back then could shoulder a AAA game because it wasn't as costly as it is now.

And to Diff, I'm not saying it's all gonna "crash and burn" - I just don't see creativity and new ideas/IP associated with AAA right now. If big-budget games are cool with this, and the audience is cool with it, that's fine. Yet at what point will the cost of a game be too high to burden on the wallets of that core niche?

I think we really should wait and see what is coming out over the next couple of years before we draw these conclusions. Every hardware shift has ended up with significantly different games, I see no reason to think that will change.

What is the core niche you're talking about? Assassins Creed 3 sold like 15 million copies. Battlefield 3 sold like 20 million and it's not even the biggest game in the genre. A lot of people play these games.

  5. In an interesting turn of events, MS has cancelled the post e3 media roundtable sheduled after the conference.

  6. Probably not a good sign.

  7. Yeah that's definitely an odd move on their part.

  8. It heralds a glorious fuckup of incredible scale, I hope.

  10. It's like that feminist twat Anita what'shername turning off comments on her sophomoric, ignorant twat youtube videos. She doesn't want to be prodded, debated, or challenged, and neither does MS.
