The people running GameStop are smarter than a bunch of nerds on videogame forums.

I think it has a lot more to do with their customers being dumber than a bunch of nerds on videogame forums.

  5. I don't think that's it.

So informed people are paying full price for digital content at GameStop B&M?

Informed is debatable. My coworker received a gift from his parents for something, ended up being a code for a digital download that they bought from Gamestop.

  8. buying digital stuff from Gamestop = uninformed
buying villains Loot Crate and not liking any of the stuff in it = conscious consumer

    I tease

  9. Makes a lot of sense. If you don't have a credit card, GS is your only means to buying digital content, right? People without credit cards (kids and low income households) is a huge piece of the gaming pie.

To his credit, it wasn't that he paid money for something he knew he didn't like. He paid money for something without having any idea what it was. He had no information, you could say, as to what it was he was buying. But I'm sure he'll explain how that doesn't make him an uninformed buyer.

Wouldn't his parents be the definition of uninformed consumers when it comes to games? If not...
