I just think RE and 2 are better visually. If they had some of the flat new boards and added those to 2, it'd be great.

This one is too busy in terms of the background graphics, the 3D models as opposed to the vector ones, the way the enemies spawn, the busy-ness of the new powerups (it doesn't get insane, but the whole 1 ship vs a billion enemies is appealing). Plus I don't really like the way the ship fires, it just feels sort of amateur.

I would like a scoring mode without geoms (see the busy-ness comment above), but I don't really dislike them enough to have no appreciation for that change (even though that was in 2).

Basically, I'm just bummed that 2 isn't on PC.

Ah, so this is where GW3 talk got to.

I'm 15 stars shy of completion and determined to 3-star all arenas, but I made the mistake last night of firing up Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved. Really hard to state how much better it is in every way. Still, I'm enjoying GW3 to some extent I guess, otherwise I wouldn't be chasing scores so much. It's just so incredibly bland compared to its predecessors.

If you buy Kinect Sports Rivals for $25 you can get a good amount of games for free. I just bundled it with GTAV, but it looks like Dragon Age, Halo and a few others work as well.
