Everyone's acting like the Rift is everything. If this market becomes as big as they say, it will be wide open and lots of companies will compete for marketshare.

But will shit be tied to one system? I have no problem with sony throwing their hat in the ring as long as I will be able to use their headset with more than just ps4. Best thing that could happen is that lots of companies start manufacturing these things. But I want it to be open like TV sets.

Agree with SSJN, only way for it to really catch on is for it to be open like TV sets. Proprietary headsets for everything would be too expensive.

Everything works with PC, and Sony is better off relying on their engineering and manufacturing resources rather than partnering with some tiny upstart.
