Lair was not a launch game, it was mid-2007. They patched regular controls later, turned out to be not so bad I heard.

Not sure if people appreciate how awful the PS3 was back then. There really was absolutely zero reason to buy the thing over the Xbox 360. Hell buying a 2nd Xbox 360 was smarter than buying a PS3.
