Got my PS4 in yesterday. No Twitch app but I can bootleg it in the web browser? OK. Interface seems relatively fast but kind of sloppy and disorganized. Is there a way to delete the UFC and football apps?

Now I need to get a stick asap. I would rather have something other than the Madcatz offerings, but there isn't going to be much for a while. I guess I'll finally start selling most of my old xbox sticks and get a temp PS4 stick for this month.

The UFC and Football apps aren't apps, those are two "featured" slots that rotate depending on what they're promoting at the time. Really, the TV & Media section makes not one bit of sense, because it all seems chosen by Sony—so even though you can have them all installed, some apps will be up above the line, others below it.

Otherwise, though, I don't know, I think the whole UI makes a lot of sense. It definitely still needs work, but I think it's quicker and faster to find things on the PS4 versus the Xbox One. You can access Twitch (and Ustream) streams under the PlayStation Live section, but there's no direct way to get to Twitch streams that included under that, and Sony rolls their own interface instead of doing something more familiar to Twitch (I go back and forth over which implementation I like better, but I think Microsoft made the better choice).

I know there are solutions out there to use older sticks on the PS4, but because of how they need to access the hardware, they do a reset every 10 minutes or so (or, at least, that's what I read). So you have to be a bit careful, or they can reboot on you mid-fight.

Well yeah, the PS360+ failed because of that. However the Skullgirls guys wrote their own driver that allows PS3 sticks for real. I'd like other devs to start using it, but it won't happen in time for xrd.

Super lame on the featured section thing. I only want what I use in there.

As for Twitch, they just need a real app that shows you all of twitch, not just PS4 streams. Having some Ustream is kind of cool, but again just PS4 streams means most of what I'd want won't be there.

that ps4 special throwback edition is pretty cool though, hopefully they pulled out all the stops and only let you play it upside down
